I knew I loved Jesse + Sarah just from the emails we exchanged before I got to meet them on their wedding day. They are so much fun to be around and their love is infections.
Jesse + Sara traveled to Maroon Bells for their Aspen Wedding day. Maroon Bells is known as “one of the most photographed locations in Colorado,” and in all the years and weddings that I’ve worked there, I’m always quickly reminded why. The majestic snow-dusted mountains, crystalline lakes, and in the fall – golden aspen trees make it one of the most sensational places for a Colorado wedding.
On the day of the wedding, Jesse looked dapper in the Florida State University shirt he wore under his jacket, while Sara was stunning in her lace dress- the gloves she wore were made using lace from her mothers wedding dress. While getting ready, Sara’s dad lovingly helped her put on her cowboy boots, boots that belonged to her late uncle .
During their first look, Jesse + Sarah met in a field shimmering with golden grasses and aspens. Jesse presented Sara with a beautiful wedding gift—a beautiful opal and diamond necklace.
For the ceremony, guests dressed in an array of fall colors–reds, greens, oranges, and yellows—which beautifully offsetting the autumnal backdrop. Mountains soared and the lake glittered as three fairylike flower girls and 2 handsome ring bearers lead the way down the forest path. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows under the loving presence of their friends and family.
I truly got a glimpse into what a fun and adventurous couple Sara and Jesse are during their couples’ portraits. We literally went over the fields, through the woods, and down the by the creek. They kept me giggling the whole time with their antics–piggyback rides, dance moves, Jesse throwing Sara over his shoulder…We were even fortunate enough to spot a moose!
Cocktail hour took place just off of the Grand Ballroom at Viceroy which features a gorgeous terrace where cozy fire pits kept guests warm. The party was moved into the ballroom once the sunset, the most heartwarming toasts were given by friends and family and were followed by a super fun dance party with glow sticks to go around.
Sara + Jesse’s day was so much fun, and I feel so lucky to have been invited to capture their Maroon Bells wedding!
