I met Jenn, what actually feels like 76 years ago…but is actually closer to like 4ish years ago, when her best friend (and one of my fave clients/families to this day) Alise, hired me to do her hair + makeup for her wedding.
I loved Jenn from the moment I met her, she’s beautiful and hilarious, and she had perfect bangs (which is really just a plus, but it matters). I had seen her a few times over the years which was lovely but when she told me that she and Larry had just gotten engaged and were planning a wedding in South Carolina and wanted to bring me along for the ride, I was sooooo excited! And not just anywhere in South Carolina, they got married at Boone Hall Plantation which was where The Notebook was filmed. Dream Venue!
So we’ve got months and months before we head off to the east coast to make this Borland business official! We got to hang out while I did portraits of their daughter Elliot (way up there on my list of favorite people, she’s a freakin gem, that little Ellie), I finally got to meet Larry at their freezing cold winter engagement session, and before we knew it, time just flew and September 16th finally arrived.
Jenn + Alise worked like a bunch of super talented little crafting elves all year to DIY all of the details + favors. Everyone went home with a bag full of goodies, my daughter and I totally rock our handmade aprons when we bake and we even make a point to live like civilized human beings once in a while and use our fancy Borland coasters!
this day was a whole lot of amazing. every little detail was every bit “Jenn + Larry” as it could possibly be.
and it was the best. day. ever!
