Colorado Wedding Photographers | Alchemy Creative Best of 2021 – A Year in Review
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
2021 was a whole lot – as a human, as a parent and as a Colorado wedding photographer
I’m at a complete loss for words when I attempt to verbally sum up the amount of joy, exhaustion, happy tears ( + sad tears + fear tears + relief tears + anger tears), hugs shared, mountain miles driven, podcast + audiobook hours listened the collective hours spent editing which totaled over 600 hours between photo + video (not joking) we witnessed.
We packed nearly 2 years of *really beautiful and important * work for *really wonderful people* into half a year – it wasn’t easy but we are thankful everyday to get to do this work for people that just really are the absolute best that the human race has to offer.
We can find beauty in just about everything, and working in such scenic places everyday really does make for incredible backdrops but without the trust, personality, vulnerability and honesty in our clients we’d have a lot less to be excited about when making these images.
So really this is a tribute to our incredible couples, my boudoir besties and our past wedding clients that have continued to let me peek into their growing families and lives through portrait sessions. Thank you for the never ending support – your referrals and reviews mean absolutely everything to me. Thank you to the clients who knew what an insane year this was for us and extended some extra grace and kind words especially when we were dealing with a family health crisis at the end of our season. thank you for letting us in to your lives in such an intimate way – we are right alongside your best friends and family members cheering you on as you move through some of the biggest moments of your lives – we are holding your hands and coming up with a plan b (or c or d) when things get tough and dancing it out with you when you things come together and you get to marry the love of your life. Thank you for trusting that we will always document your big life moments in the way that we would want our own lives and moments documented, with authenticity, enthusiasm, and always keeping the big picture in mind. thank you for laughing at my dumb jokes and for pulling me out onto the dance floor with and for all the hugs and texts full of heart emojis.
I love so much about the work we do but these are the things that really kept me going during a year that threw challenges left and right.
So, here she is in all her glory – the great summary of what we witnessed and photographed in 2021.

I edited + delivered over 50,000 photos to 102 galleries this year and narrowed this down to just under 700 photos for your viewing pleasure.
