I had the pleasure of spending New Years’ Eve in Colorado Springs for Kim and Nate’s wedding at The Broadmoor and it was nothing short of magical. As a Colorado Wedding Photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location for capturing their special moments. The snow-covered mountains in the distance, the grandeur of the historic hotel, and the twinkling lights that adorned every corner all added to the charm of the occasion.
We spent their welcome party the night before the wedding day at Play! for a night of bowling, drinks, and so much fun. Come wedding day, I found myself constantly inspired by the beauty that surrounded us, and I was determined to capture that feeling in every photograph. As Kim and Nate exchanged vows on the Mountain View Terrace amidst the romantic ambiance, surrounded hundreds of candles and all their loved ones, nobody cared that is was a little chilly. It was an incredible moment being surrounded by so much love.
There were also countless moments that made the experience truly memorable. The way Nate looked at Kim as she walked down the aisle with her parents, the laughter shared during the speeches, the intimate grandeur of the band performing playing their song during their first dance and the confetti canon countdown to the new year on the dance floor- all of these moments will stay with me forever.
