I’ve started and deleted this opening sentence approximately 30 times and it’s just never going to be perfect. Maddy and Kelton’s wedding day really reminded me at every point of their day, just why I love this job so much. So much of the frills and rigid timelines and formalities were set aside for the day to completely bask in the importance of what a wedding day meant to them.
I arrived at their airbnb cabin to capture their getting ready + details and was immediately greeted with hugs and big smiles. I love when couples choose to get ready in the same location, its so fun getting to spend that special time together before all the festivities begin. They shared their first look on the deck overlooking the mountains before we ventured up into Rocky Mountain National Park to frolic around for their couples portraits. They held their ceremony and reception at Wild Basin lodge which was just so perfect for their style and the fall colors were just the cherry on top.
Madalyn + Kelton treated everyone present for their day like they were the most important guest, they hugged every single person in attendance and even had the chance to chat with everyone throughout the evening. Their parents and wedding party delivered such sentimental toasts before these two stepped out for their first dance on the outdoor amphitheater, romantically lit with string lights.
It was a day purely dedicated to exactly how and with whom they wanted to spend a gorgeous fall afternoon eating and drinking and dancing and hugging and laughing and and and. There will never be words for how much I appreciated getting to be present for this day for them. I loved every single second and I hope you can tell.
