Winter weddings in Colorado will always be a little bit more magical. As a Colorado wedding photographer, there’s truly nothing like the excitement of riding a ski lift up to your wedding venue and looking over a freshly snow covered view. For Ashley and Chase’s wedding day at Thunderhead Lodge at Steamboat Ski Resort, we froze, but it was all beyond beautiful and we sure had a blast warming up dancing the night away during their reception.

Steamboat is the first vacation these two took together and therefor very close to their hearts. They frequent the little skit town during all seasons to enjoy the snow, fishing, fall color, hiking, camping, etc. So it was an easy choice when it came time to start looking for the perfect location for their wedding day! These two are big time adventure and travel lovers and they brought that amazing energy and incorporated their hobbies into their day, seriously the hopped on their snowboards for a quick sunset ride before heading in for dinner!

A+C’s guests all were total troopers and braved the chilly afternoon temps for a completely authentic, happy-tear filled, heartfelt ceremony before heading indoors for some spiked hot chocolate, champagne and warm treats.

These two had an incredible night, they laughed hard during some hilarious toasts from friends and family. They had so much fun dancing to their favorite tunes, and were able to really let loose and have a blast celebrating with their favorite people in their favorite mountain town.
