Destination Wedding Photographer | Cape Coral, Florida Indian Wedding | Rima + Rikin

This job has taken me to some incredible places over the last few years, I travel fairly often and I never tire of meeting new people, experiencing different cultures and hearing/telling the stories of people around the globe.
Rima + Rikin flew me out to Cape Coral to document their wedding. I had never even attended an Indian wedding before, but they trusted me to capture the weekend and all of the events that go with it and I’ve never been more excited *and exhausted* while photographing a wedding. You couldn’t wipe the smile off my face for even a second, even though I shot over 18 hours in crazy heat + humidity.
This was by far one of the most incredible events I’ve ever witnessed and to top it off, Rima, Rikin and their families were SO incredibly welcoming and so eager to include me in such the life changing experience of witnessing another cultures way of celebrating marriage, family and LIFE.
If you’re unfamiliar with the traditions of an Indian Wedding, there are over 10 rituals included over the course of 3 days: *Varmala, Kanyadaan, Vivaah Homa, Hastmelap, Mangalsutra, Granthi Bandhanam, Saptapadi/Mangal Fera, Kalasha, Laaja Homam, Kansar Bhakshan, Ashirwad.* There are epic performances during the reception, and the dancing does.not.stop!
The music, all the color, the amazing food, and the entire community of the most amazing people that brought this day together is something I will never forget.
